Mrs. Lottie Baker 1927 Bridgewater Bulletin
There passed away at the home of Elijah Hanley, Saturday evening, August 27th, Mrs. Lottie Baker of Upper Chelsea, a widow of the late Thomas Baker, at the age of seventy-one years and six months. The deceased had been in failing health for the past year and six months. She leaves to mourn their loss, two sons, Austin at Chelsea; Albert of Framington, Mass.; six daughters, Addie, Mrs. Dempson Hamm; Bertha, Mrs. Elijah Hanley; Jane, Mrs. George Tall of Molega; Estella, Mrs. Joseph Uhlman of New Elm; Annie of Waverley, Mass.; Ella, Mrs. Raymond Uhlman. Also surviving are five sisters, Mrs. Edgar Falkenham; Mrs. Noah Smith; Mrs. Agustus Faulkner of Chelsea; Mrs. George Smith of U.S.A.; and Mrs. Gideon Keddy of Wileville; two brothers, Enos and Elijah Hanley, both abroad; also a large number of grandchildren and a host of friends.
The funeral was held on Tuesday, the 30th, interment in Chelsea Cemetery by Rev. McLeod. the text was from Genesis, Chapter 19, verse 17: "Escape for thy life." The floral tributes were many and beautiful.
