William Austin Baker 1959 Bridgewater Bulletin

The death of Mr. William Austin Baker, life-long resident of Chelsea, took place at his home on December 23 rd, following a lengthy illness. Born in Chelsea 84 years ago, Mr. Baker was the son of the late Thomas Andrew and Charlotte Ann Baker.

Besides his wife, the former Nellie Vivian Freeman, Mr.Baker is survived by six daughters, Alice (Mrs. Earl Daniels), Massachusetts; Lottie (Mrs. William Blank), Brooklyn, U.S.A.; Beatrice (Mrs. Francis Joudrey), Greenfield; Beulah (Mrs. Donald Freeman), Toronto; Ruth (Mrs. Robert Hamilton), St. Catharines; Janette (Mrs. Peter Croft), Montreal; and son, Clark of Chelsea. Also surviving are five sisters, Bertha (Mrs. Henley), Chelsea; Stella (Mrs. Jas. Uhlman), New Elm; Anne (Miss Baker), New York; Jane (Mrs. Geo. Taul), South Brookfield; Ella (Mrs. Raymond Uhlman), Bridgewater; one brother, Albert of Framingham, Massachusetts; twenty-two grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The funeral services were held at the Chelsea Baptist Church Sunday, December 27th, conducted by Lic. Irving Dean Annis, assisted by New Canada Field Pastor. Interment was in the Chelsea Cemetery.
