She married Edward Stanton Bennington on December 16, 1900 in Carbon, Adams County, Iowa, and to this union five children were born, Mrs, R. E. Drake of Des Moines, Jeptha C., of. Carbon, Iowa, Mrs. DorothyGidley, Dora, and Julia.
Mrs. Sarah Bennington passed away early Saturday morning, November 26, 1955 at the home of her daughter, Ethel Drake. Mrs. Bennington had been in poor health for sometime and had been cared for in her home in Nodaway and in the homes of her children. Funeral services were held at the Methodist Church here, Monday, November 28, 1955 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Clare H. Boos in charge of services assisted by Rev. Niles of Nodaway. Interment was made in the Oakland Cemetery at Quincy. Sympathy is extended to the bereaved family.
