The Gettysburg Times April 5, 1958

Mrs. S Rebecca Funt, 20, widow of Grant Funt, died Friday afternoon at 4:50 at the Warner Hospital where she had been a patient for four weeks.
She had resided for the last two years with a son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Pinkey Hess, 372 E Water St., and prior to that, for several years, had resided with another son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Huff, Gettysburg R5. Her husband, Grant Funt, died in 1929.
A native of Franklin Twp., she was a daughter of the late Jacob and Anna Arendt Mickley and was a member of Flohr's Lutheran Church and Sunday School.
Surviving are four children; Mrs. Pinkey Hess, Mrs. Charles Yingling and Mrs.Samuel Welsh, all of Gettysburg, and Charles Huff, Gettysburg R5.
Also surviving are 19 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren and three sisters; Mrs. Ella Buford, Monmouth, Ill.; Mrs. Minnie Dellmyer, York R7, and Mrs. Lilly Miller, Waynesboro.
Brief funeral services Tuesday afternoon at 1:30 at the Bender Funeral Home, Carlisle St., followed by further services at Flohr's Lutheran Church at 2:00, with her pastor. Rev. Mahlon Clarke officiating. Interment in Flohr's Cemetery.
I believe the age of death in the obituary is typed incorrectly. Instead of "(20)" Sarah's age at death should be "(90)". Sarah and her husband, J. Grant Funt, were George F Shelleman's (my grandfather) great great aunt and uncle. Thank you.
