Bessie A. Yingling was the Wife of Private Charles J. Yingling, United States Army.
She was a daughter of Joseph Grant Funt and Sarah Rebecca (Mickley) Funt.
She had been married to Harry Cletus Sadler.
She was originally from Orrtanna, Pennsylvania.

Bessie A. Yingling, 86, 136 North Stratton St., Gettysburg, died Sunday evening at 7:30 at the Hanover Hall Nursing Home.
Born in Orrtanna, she was the daughter of the late Grant and Rebecca Mickley Funt. Her husband, Charles J. Yingling, died in 1968. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Gettysburg, and was employed at the Hotel Gettysburg for a number of years.
Surviving are three daughters, Margaret Becker, 60 Cedar Avenue, Gettysburg, Louise Woodward, 148 Breckenridge St., Gettysburg, and Barbara Meligakes, 530 Carlisle St., Gettysburg; nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg. Interment will be in the Gettysburg National Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday from 10 a.m. until the time of services.

Slaybaugh, Jr., officiating. Interment was in Gettysburg National Cemetery. Pallbearers were Redy (sp.?) Snavely, Thomas Meligakes, Paul Plank, Jr., Richard Garrett, Joseph Becker, Jr., and Clyde Woodward.
