JOHNSTON SERVICES SCHEDULED TODAY

Funeral services for Mrs. Ray B. Johnston, 72, of 110 Lipan will be held here at 4 p.m. today at First Methodist Church with burial in Fairmount Cemetery directed by Johnson's Funeral Home.

The Rev. Dr. John Donaho, pastor, will officiate, assisted by Dr. B. O. Wood, paster emeritus of the First Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Johnston died at 9:15 a.m. Sunday in Shannon Hospital, where she had been a patient about two months.

She was born May 30, 1893 near spring Creek and was married to Ray B. Johnston, a San Angelo Banker, Sept 16, 1914 in San Angelo.

She organized the Banker's Wives Club and was a first vice president and treasurer of the San Angelo Woman's club.

Mr. Johnston, former president of San Angelo National Bank retired in 1955 and later became president of International Trust Co.

She is survived by her husband, one son, William C. Johnston of Shawnee Mission, Kans., one daughter, Mrs. John H. Passow of 106 Lipan; two brotehrs, Roy Lackey of Copperas Cov and Edgar Lackey of White Salmon, Wash.; two sisters, Mrs. Jennie Hays and Mrs. Helen Maddux, both of San Angelo and six grandchildren.
