Troy Mayfield interred here

Troy Mayfield, 110 Terrell Street, Kaufman, died a Kaufman hospital early Thursday morning of last week. Funeral services were held from the First Assembly of God church in Kaufman at 2 p.m. Friday, with the Rev. D. G. Council and the Rev. Hymie Poltz officiating.
Interment was in the Kyser Cemetery under the direction of Anderson-Clayton Funeral Home of Terrell.
Mr. Mayfield was born in Kaufman County, Texas on September 9, 1918. He lived the greater part of his life in this county, except for a few years spent in Mesquite.
He was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
He was married to Elsie Jannettie Cox on December 21, 1940, and two children were born. One son preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife, Elsie Mayfield; one son, Stevey Leon Mayfield; one grandson, Clinton Nathaniel Mayfield, all of Kaufman; four brothers, George Mayfield, James Mayfield, Clifton Mayfield, and Leroy Mayfield; four sisters, Essie Mae Bardin, Mrs. Marie Taylor, Mrs. Izora Lightfoot, all of Kaufman, and Mrs. Myrtle Wilson of Seven Points, and nieces, nephews and other relatives.
