Funeral services for James Albert Mayfield of Kaufman were held July 31 from the chapel of Eubank Chapel in Canton with Bro. W. A. Martin officiating. Interment was held in the Haven of Memories Park.
Mayfield 68, was born in Kaufman County on July 22, 1910 and passed away July 29, 1978. Mayfield spent his entire life in Kaufman and drove a Kaufman school bus for approximately two years.
Albert Don Mayfield a son, preceded him in death.
Surviving Mayfield are his wife, Mrs. Eunice Kay Mayfield of Kaufman and three sons, James A. Mayfield, Jr. Of Garland, Horace Olen Mayfield of Kaufman, and Leroy Mayfield of Kaufman.
Also surviving him are four sisters, Mrs. Essie Bardin of Kaufman, Mrs. Marie Taylor of Kaufman, Mrs. Izora Lightfoot of Kaufman, and Mrs. Myrtle Wilson of Seven Points.
Mayfield id also survived by six grandsons, five great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Archie Lee Bardin, George Allen Mayfield, Steve Mayfield, Rogene Mayfield, Charles Mayfield, Troy Taylor and Kenneth Riley.
