Clifton Mayfield, born and raised in the Cedervale Community, passed away May 9, 1977 at he age of 62.
Mr. Mayfield was born July 10, 1914 in Kaufman County and spent his life in the Cedervale Community as a farmer and rancher.
Funeral services were held May 11 at the Eubank funeral Chapel in Canton. Bro. Mike Newby officiated. Interment was in the Haven of Memories.
surviving relatives are his wife, Mrs. Eugenia Mayfield of Kaufman; a son Mr. Charles C. Mayfield of Kaufman; two daughters, Mrs. Vera Gunderson of Mabank and Mrs. Linda Pickard of Scurry; two brothers, Mr. James Mayfield of Kaufman and Mr. Leroy Mayfield of Kaufman; four sisters, Mrs. Essie Bardin of Kaufman, Mrs. Marie Taylor of Kaufman, Mrs. Izora Lightfoot of Kaufman and Mrs. Myrtle Wilson of Kemp; four grandchildren and four step grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Kenneth Riley, O. L. Wade, Sid Holcomb, Jerry High, Archie Bardin, and Horace Mayfield.
