Anna Elizabeth Lewis Muntz, age 74, a resident of Cynthiana, Kentucky, died Saturday, August 30, 2003, at Central Baptist Hospital, in Lexington, Kentucky. She was born December 2, 1928, in Harrison County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Almond and Anna Mae Wilson Lewis. She was a member of Cynthiana Baptist Church, a retired employee of 3M Company, a Hospice of the Bluegrass volunteer and a member of the Literacy Program at the Cynthiana-Harrison County Public Library.

She was preceded in death by her: husband, James E. Muntz; and a brother, Parker Lewis. Survivors include: two sons, James Lewis (Cathy) Muntz and Stephen (Darla) Muntz, both of Cynthiana; a daughter, Donna (Gary) Linville, of Cynthiana; a brother, Almond (Joann) Lewis, Jr., of Warsaw, Missouri; three sisters, Lucy (Melvin) Lenox, of Cynthiana, Beulah (Frank) Bell, of Lexington, and Agnes (Jake) Boyles, of Paris, Kentucky; three sisters-in-law, Juanita Lewis, of Tennessee, Judy Rorer, of Cynthiana, and Lou Mary (Jerry) Marsh, of Cynthiana; a brother-in-law, Donald Dean (Mary Russell) Muntz, of Cynthiana; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, September 2, at Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home by Rev. Wayne Spivey. Burial was in Beaver Baptist Church Cemetery. Nephews served as pallbearers. Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass or the American Cancer Society.
