Almond Lewis, age 83, retired farmer of the Claysville community, in Harrison County, Kentucky, died at Harrison Memorial Hospital, in Cynthiana, Kentucky, at 3:25 p.m. Monday. He was a member of Beaver Baptist Church.

Survivors include: four daughters, Beulah (Franklin) Bell, of Lexington, Lucy (Melvin) Lenox, of Cynthiana, Anna (James) Muntz, of Harrison County, and Agnes (Jake) Boyle, of Paris; two sons, Almond Lewis, Jr., of Independence, Missouri, and William Parker Lewis, of Harrison County; and 14 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Whaley Funeral Home, in Cynthiana, by Rev. Winn T. Barr. Burial will be at Beaver Baptist Cemetery. Pallbearers are Charles Bryant, Walter England, Desmond Dixon, Noble Henson, Yancy Muntz and Ollie McCauley. Friends may call at the funeral home after 4:00 p.m. today.
