Humes Baker Manley, 69, of 436 W. 47th, died Tuesday at a nursing home at 8039 Holmes. He was born in Carthage, MO, and lived in the Kansas City area about 25 years. Before his retirement, he was a mechanical engineer 20 years with J. F. Pritchard and Company. Since retirement he was consulting engineer on petrol-chemical plant design. He attended the University of Missouri-Columbia. He was a member of the Community Christian Church. He leaves a son, David B. Manley, Rolla, MO; two brothers, Lewis N. Manley and Robert Manley; and a sister, Margaret Woodworth, all of Kansas City, and two grandchildren. Services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at the Mount Moriah Chapel; cremation. Friends may call from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday at the chapel.
