David Baker Manley, 84, of Rolla passed away on April 10, 2024, at his home. He was born on September 4, 1939, in Flushing, NY to Humes Baker and Sue Frances Manley.
David graduated from Grinnell College with a B.S degree in 1961, then attended the University of Kansas earning a M.S. degree in 1968 and his PhD in 1970.
He worked as a Professor of Chemical Engineering at Missouri S&T for many years. In his spare time, he enjoyed backpacking, woodworking, and being an arborist.
David is survived by three children daughter Susan of Springdale, AR, daughter Allison of Woodstock, GA, and son Matt (Jen) of Crystal Lake, IL and grandchildren John, Daniel, Mary, Andrew, Abigail, James, Samantha, Kayleigh, Jacob, Lily, and great grandchild Lucy.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
