She was born in Des Moines County, Aug. 6, 1905, to Garrett and Elsie McCorkel Hinson. She married Wallace G. Walker, in Burlington, Sept. 12, 1922.
Mrs. Walker was a housewife, a member of the Kingston United Methodist church and the United Methodist Women.
Surviving: three daughters, Elsie Pforts, and Jane Bazel, both of Mediapolis, and Joyce Doyle, Danville; two sisters, Stella Ward, Mediapolis, and Elizabeth Ward, Burlington; two brothers, Forrest Hoambrecker and Roger Hoambrecker, both of Burlington; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday, Kingston United Methodist church, the Rev. Clarence Burns; Memorial Park cemetery. Fry Chapel, Mediapolis, is in charge. A memorial has been established.
