Verna F. (Bader) Garrett, 90, Countryside, KS, passed away Friday, April 12, 1996. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, April 15, at D. W. Newcomer's Sons Johnson County Chapel, 11200 Metcalf; burial in Johnson County Memorial gardens. Friends may call 1:30-2:30 p.m. Monday, April 15, at the Johnson County Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Mrs. Garrett was born April 11, 1906, in the Oklahoma Territory, near Putnam. She had lived in this area since 1951. She was a member of Countryside Christian Church and Christian Women's Fellowship. She was a charter member of Countryside Garden Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, William A. "Wag" Garrett, in 1985, Mr. Garrett worked for AT&T as a Midwest Area Staff Manager of the Long Distance Lines Division. Her survivors include her son, William "Bill" D. Garrett, Acworth, GA.; daughter Sharon I.
