Carole was called home on Saturday, March 5, 2005. She departed peacefully from her home in Mechanicsburg with her family present.
Born on September 11, 1925 on a farm outside of Red Oak, Iowa, she was a daughter of Howard Leslie Bass and Claire (Shearer) Bass.
She is survived by a brother, Gordon Bass of Red Oak, Iowa and by a sister, Helen E. Bass of Dillsburg. Six children also survive her from her marriage to the late Colonel Gerald C. Weeks. She was subsequently married to the late Ebert Bonsall of Millerstown. Her six children are Gregory Weeks, Douglas Weeks, Kenneth Weeks, Randall Weeks, Susan Myers and William Weeks. Carole also leaves 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Carole is remembered for her kind, generous spirit and for her sense of humor. A faithful member of the Body of Christ, Carole was an Elder and Deacon in the Presbyterian Church.
