BILOXI --- Jewell Hankins Blackmon, 92, died Saturday, November 11, 2000, in Biloxi.
Mrs. Blackmon was born in Taylorsville, MS and had been a resident of Biloxi for the past 55 years. She was a member of Ann Grayson Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Full Gospel Tabernacle.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Max H. Blackmon; her parents, William E. Hankins, Sr. and Ada L. Butler Hankins; two sisters and six brothers.
Survivors include one son, Max Evon Blackmon and his wife, Doris W. Blackmon of Biloxi; two sisters, Beulah Stringer of Biloxi and Marjorie Sullivan of Woolmarket; one brother, Joseph E. Hankins of Lucedale, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 9 at the Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funeral Homes in Biloxi. A service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Southern Memorial Park. The Pass Road Chapel of Bradford-O'Keefe Funearl Homes in Biloxi is in charge of arrangements.
