Funeral services were held today for Jim Madewell, 84, at the chapel of Baxter Funeral Home . Burial was in Russell cemetery.
His death occurred Sunday at his home, Baxter Rt 1, following a long illness.
His parents were the late Fate and Alice Ferguson Madewell.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lucy Madewell; three sons, Albert and Douglas Madewell of Baxter Rt 1; Jim Dow Madewell, Buffalo Valley; daughters Mrs. Gladys Upchurch , Silver Point Rt 1; Mrs. Floy Rusell, Baxter; Mrs. Winnie Uhles, Nashville; Mrs. Alice Hutchison and Mrs. Mary Richardson of Detroit; Mrs. Glenda Whitehead, Buffalo Valley; two sisters, Mrs. Jane Wheeler, Sparta; Avie Madewell, Cookeville.
Whitson Funeral Home was in charge.
