Marion Francis Crawford the eighth child of Walter and Elva (Corbin) Crawford was born July 2, 1935.
On December 24 1952 she married Howard Smith in St Helens , Oregon.

Graveside services for Marian F Smith. former Scappoose business woman will be held at 2:pm Saturday January 31st at Bethany Memorial Cemetary in Warren.
Mrs Smith dies January 24th 1998 in Portland, she was 62.
She was born July 2nd 1935 in Wasdena Iowa and lived most of her life in South Columbia County. She owned and operated teh Little Bit of Country Gift Store in Scappoose.
After moving to Crooked River Ranch in 1990, Mrs Smith was amoung several people who started the Crooked River Gazette newspaper. She was active in the Crooked River Ranch Fire Dept, where she was a member of the fire board. Also she was a member of the Crooked River Ranch Grange 955 and Hay Stack Grange 495 in Culver. She enjoyed gardening and reading.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Howard SR: sons H Wayne Jr of Goble and Kenneth W of Scappoose, Daughters Lorraine Renard and Pat McCune both of Portland, five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
