RUTH E. REKEWEG, 96, of Paulding, Ohio, died Monday, March 17, 2008. Born Feb. 1, 1912, in Paulding County, she was the daughter of the late Frank J. "Pop" and Anna M. (Hopt) Morisy.
On June 29, 1941, she married Wilmer D. Rekeweg; he died in 1986.
She is survived by one daughter, Barbara Ann (Rekeweg) Thomas of Woodburn; eight sisters; one brother; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by a sister; a brother; and a stepmother.
Funeral service is 11 a.m. Friday at Den Herder Funeral Home, Paulding. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with a Catholic wake service at 7:30 p.m. Burial in Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Woodburn.
