She was November 27, 1919 in Paulding, Ohio to the late Frank and Anna (Hopt) Morisey. She was the first Drum Major for the Paulding High School Band. Before moving to Delaware in 1964, Rita owned her own beauty shops in Paulding, Payne and Van Wert, Ohio.
In partnership with her husband Frank, Rita became owner/operator of Thompson’s Bike & Key Shop. She was a long standing member of the Delaware Altrusa.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Ruth Thompson; son Terry Thompson and daughter-in-law Kimberly Thompson; grandchildren Rita Sylvia, Annette and Amanda Thompson, Leslie Alexander and Caitie Thompson; great grandchildren Jayden Colwell, Laurel Thompson, Drew and Logan Sylvia, and Sullivan and Jaxson Alexander; four sisters and one brother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Frank Lowell Thompson and her son Frank Michael “Mike” Thompson, five sisters and one brother.
