Husband of Delpha Merle Turner - Delpha died shortly after the birth of their only child, Charles Donovan Bowers.
Paul later married Iva Nichols & to this union were born the following children Merle Agnes (Wolf), Jack Leon, Marjorie May (Henderson), Anna Belle (Cartmill) & Ruby Iva (Newby). Paul & Iva raised & were like parents to Marjorie's oldest son, Richard Jonas Davis.
Paul homesteaded about three miles northwest of Rosston, Oklahoma. Paul always wore TufNut striped overalls and long-sleeved flannel shirts, all about a size or two too large for him -- he liked having 'room' to move around; he almost always wore a fedora.
He enjoyed smoking cigarettes and each year for his birthday and Christmas he was always gifted cartons of his favorite cigarette, Tareyton. In 1965 when the 'smoking causes cancer' warnings appeared on cigarette packs, Paul quit smoking 'cold turkey'.
He loved to play cards, especially pitch and gin rummy, & dominoes, go fishing & tell stories. He was quiet in nature....a gentle, kind & loving man.
Like his father Charles Lewis Bowers (32°) & his Grandfather William Eyre Bowers before him, Paul was a Freemason.
