FRANK SCHLAEFER

Frank J. Schlaefer, 96, of 520 Western Ave., owner and operator of Schlaefer's Jewelry Store in Lomira for 40 years, died Sunday, May 31, 1981, at St. Agnes Hospital.

He was born Oct. 4, 1884, at Campbellsport, a son of the late Joseph and Barbara Koller Schlaefer. On June 17, 1914, he married Mary Husting at Campbellsport.

Mr. Schlaefer was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Holy Name Society, Third Order of St. Francis and Knights of Columbus. He retired in 1969.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Albert (Helen) Zeleske and Miss Agnes Schlaefer both of Fond du Lac; a son, Dr. Joseph Schlaefer of Chilton; 15 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and a brother, William of Campbellsport.

He was preceded in death by his wife on July 22, 1942, and by a daughter, six brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at Uecker-Witt Funeral Home and at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. The Rev. Raymond Fox will officiate, and burial will be I St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery, Lomira.

Friends of Mr. Schlaefer may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. A memorial fund has been established by his family.
