German immigrant, arriving in the United States with her parents in 1852.* Family settled in Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati, Ohio—a German neighborhood—where in 1853 she married Martin Edward Nagel, Sr., her husband of 51 years. Nine children—five sons & four daughters. 38 grandchildren. Name spelled "Kunigunda" per marriage license versus "Kunagunda" per gravestone. Two sisters—one younger, Martena (Scholl) Yeager, residing unwed in 1860 in her NAGEL, Over-the-Rhine household, & another, name & age unknown, remaining in Germany. Relocated by 1866 to Germany, Union Township, Pike County, Ohio where her husband would farm for over 40 years.
