Vera Cooper Gaddis attended Cooperville, Homestead and Morton Schools and Harperville Institute where she maintained an excellent rating in school. While there, she obtained 2 of the coveted Gold Medals in both United States History and English. She joined the Concord Baptist Church and then moved her membership to Springfield where she has taken an active part in church affairs, being a Sunday School teacher and WMU member. She was a charter member of the Readers' Club in Morton where book reviews were given regularly. She has carried on the full job of farmer's wife and mother through the years. She was a member of the Home Demonstration Club since its formation in Scott Co., Miss.
