Luciana D. Baca, 83, of Avondale, went to be with the Lord, Thursday, March 2, 2000. A lifetime member of the Altar and Rosary Society for over 40 years and volunteer for many hours of service at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Avondale. Preceded in death by her parents, Ricardo and Reynalda Sandoval; son Robert Baca; and daughter, Viola Finn. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Alfonso Baca; siblings, Juan (Loyola) Sandoval, Ernest (Yolanda) Sandoval and Lydia Melena; children, Ferdie Baca, Avondale, Priscilla (Mike) Berens, Arvada, Edward (Lydia) Baca, Colorado Springs, Armando (Jennie) Baca, Avondale, Alex (Pauline) Baca, Pueblo, Linda (Antonio) Flores, Littleton, Joey (Clara) Baca, Arvada, Jess (Cindy) Baca, Pueblo, Mary (Jerry) Fordham, Colorado Springs and Larry (Esther) Baca, Pueblo; and grandchildren that she raised, James, Veronica, Ruben and Paul, for a total of 53 grandchildren, 75 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Visitation from 1 until 5 p.m. today and Sunday at the funeral home. Recitation of the rosary 7 p.m. Sunday with funeral Mass 10 a.m. Monday, March 6, 2000. Both services to be held at Sacred Heart Church of Avondale. Interment will be at St. Vrain Cemetery in Avondale. Memorial contributions may be made to Sangre de Cristo Hospice, 704 Elm, Pueblo, Colo., 81004, in memory of Mrs. Baca.
