Sonny was a proud veteran of the Army and retired from the Pueblo Army Depot. He was a man of his word, had a bigger than life presence, a "thing" with his full head of hair, very handsome in a Mombo Kings kinda way and loved to celebrate with family and friends. His generosity was unmatched not only with family members, but he often gave complete strangers a place to sleep, his clothing, a meal or two and money. He loved to sing Mexican music while playing the guitar and he was dedicated to working out and took great pride in his appearance. He is survived by all his children Debra Macias (Art), Veronica Garnsey (Dave), Mark Baca (Marie), Regina Garcia (Mike), JoDeen Baca, Henry Ruybal (Sonya). He also leaves to cherish his memory his siblings Fred Baca, Alex Baca, Linda Flores, Joe Baca (Clara), Jess Baca, and Mary Fordham (Jerry) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Jennie and Armando have several grandchildren, Trisha Macias (Sid Six), Naomi Hernandez, Michelle Padilla (Rey), Audrey Cisneros (Daniel), Dante Baca (Kiera), Dominic Baca, Monique Garcia, Mickali Fultz (Chris), and Breezy Ruybal. Great grandchildren Donovan Esquibel, Brennan Esquibel, Rebekah Hernandez, Josiah Hernandez, Reyes Padilla, Evia Padilla and Ronan Cisneros.
