Edwin A Stemper, age 82, of New Holstein, died Wednesday, Oct 16, 2002, at Calumet Medical Center in Chilton. He was born Oct. 7, 1920, in St. Anna, the son of the late Nicholas and Ottila Pfang Stemper. On Aug. 26, 1942, he married Romilda Meyer at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kiel. He was a mason and later worked as an assembly worker at Tecumseh Products in New Holstein until his retirement in 1984. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein.
Survivors include one son, Steve Stemper of New Holstein; two daughters, Mrs. Shirley (Richard) Pauly of Chilton and Mrs. Bev (Dean) Oosterhaus of Neenah; seven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one twin brother, Alvin (Margaret) Stemper of Newton; one sister, Julia Pierre of Chicago; and one son-in-law, Robert Nennig of Sherwood. He was preceded in death by his wife, Romilda; two daughters, Mary Nennig and Catherine Stemper, one son, Thomas; two brothers and five sisters.
The funeral Mass will be held at noon at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. The Rev. Frank Weber will officiate. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
