Romilda E. Stemper, 71, New Holstein, died Friday, March 11, 1994 at the Calumet Homestead in New Holstein. She was born Aug. 2, 1922 in Kiel and daughter of the late Charles and Mary Schneider Meyer.
She was an assembly worker at Tecumseh Products in New Holstein for 28 years, retiring in 1984.
On August 26, 1942, she married Edwin Stemper at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kiel. She was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein, and its Christian Women’s Society.
Survivors include her husband, Edwin; one son, Steven, Appleton; three daughters, Mrs. Mary (Robert) Nennig, Sherwood, Mrs. Shirley (Richard) Pauly, Chilton and Mrs. Beverly (Dean) Oosterhous, Neenah; seven grandchildren; three brothers, Ralph Meyer, Sylvan Meyer and Walter Meyer, all of Kiel; two sisters, Sister Mary Dolores of Holy Family, Manitowoc, and Mrs. Rose (Paul) Holschbach, DePere.
She was preceded in death by one son, Thomas; one daughter, Catherine; one brother and three sisters.
Funeral services were held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in New Holstein. The Rev. Patrick Lloyd officiated. Burial was in Holy Rosary Cemetery.
