Mrs. Lena Winesett Padgett, 75, of Rt. 1, Woodlawn, died Thursday, July 26, 1984, in Twin County Community Hospital.
Born in Carroll County Oct. 10, 1908, she was the daughter of Samuel Winesett and Permelia Edwards Winesett. Surviving are her husband, Roby B. Padgett three daughters, Mrs. Edward (Merlene) King, Woodlawn Mrs. Herman (Janice) Fields, Chase City, and Mrs. Sherman R. (Jeanetta) Fields, Saltville; three sons, Noel Padgett, Bassett, Norris Padgett, Austinville, and Leon Padgett, Bedford 16 grandchildren four great-grandchildren and three brothers, Jason Winesett, Austinville Steve Winesett, Mount Airy, N.C., and Bonnie Winesett, Woodlawn.

The funeral was conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, July 28, in the Woodlawn Church of God. The Rev. Russell Payne and the Rev. Gary Vernon officiated.

Entombment was in Monta Vista Memory Gardens. Vaughan-Guynn Funeral Home handled arrangements.
