Bonnie Grimes Winesett, 92, of Woodlawn, passed away on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Twin County Regional Hospital. Mr. Winesett was born in Carroll County to the late Samuel Floyd and Permelia Elizabeth Edwards Winesett. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Orene Frost Winesett; daughter, Sharon Carico; six brothers; and seven sisters.


Survivors include his children, Dean and Glenna Winesett, Ann and Jeff Crate, and Kathy and Ralph Thorne; son-in-law, Larry Carico; grandchildren, Steve Winesett, Delane Carico, Scott Winesett, Dr. Kerri Gray, Amy Gifford, Emily Jefcoat, and Sheri Winesett; ten great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; and many beloved nieces and nephews.


Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 12, 2015 Woodlawn Church of God with Pastor Rudy Robinson, Pastor John Briggs and Elder Ronald Bowman officiating.

Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Military rites will be conducted by the Hillsville V.F.W. Post 1115.

Vaughan-Guynn-McGrady Chapel is serving the family.
