Charlie Willis Winesett, 77, Woodlawn, Rt. 1, died May 15 in Twin County Community Hospital.

He was born in Carroll County April 18, 1905 to the late Samuel F. Winesett and Permelia Edwards Winesett.

Survivors include his wife, Nina Lawson Winesett, four daughters, Mrs. Andrew (Fern) Porterfield, Galax; Mrs. Melborne (Iva Merle) Sharp, Martinsville; Mrs. A. E. (Ercell) Cowan, Mrs. Roger (Nina Sue) Hutchens, Galax; two sisters, Mrs. Herbert (Annie) Lineberry, Galax; Mrs. Roby (Lena) Padgett, Woodlawn; four brothers, Bonnie Winesett, Edd Winesett, Jason Winesett, all of Woodlawn; Steve Winesett, Mt. Airy, NC; six grandchildren, two great grand children.

Funeral services were held May 18, at 11 am from Vaughan-Guynn Chapel, Galax, by David Weisher, Rev. John Akers, and Dr. Tom Bird. Burial was in Monta Vista Memory Gardens.
