EARL RICHARDS

Midvale - James Earl Richards, 86, 783 E. Wasatch St., died Jan. 29, 1974, of natural causes in a Granger nursing home.
Born Jan. 26, 1888, Union, Salt Lake County, to Silas N. and Mary N. Goulder Richards. He married Myrtle Elizabeth Forbush, in Union. She died in April 1947. He was a retired floatation mill operator, United States Smeltering, Refining and Mining Company for 43 years; former resident of San Diego, California; and member of the LDS Church.
Survivors: sons and daughters, Ivan Earl, Harold, both of Murray; James Allen, Toquerville, Washington County; Milan Jay, Howard Vaughn, Gene Silas, Mrs. Doris B. Beckstead, all Midvale; Mrs. Delbert E. (Norma) LaPoint, Salt Lake City; Marvin G., Don H., both Los Angeles, Calif.; Mrs. Thomas (Mildred) Brereton, San Diego; 28 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; brothers and sister, C. Duane, Guy, Mrs. Erma Cook, all Salt Lake City.
Funeral Saturday at 11 a.m., 8090 S. State St., Midvale, where friends may call Friday 6-8 p.m., and Saturday and hour before services. Burial at Midvale City Cemetery.
