Henry Stencel
Henry Stencel, 83, Greeley, died Wednesday, Aug 1, at his home.
He was born June 5, 1907, to John and Mary Katheryn (Schwab) Stencel in Johnstown.
Mr. Stencel came to Greeley from Fort Collins in 1926. On Feb 22, 1928, he married Mary Ditter in Greeley. He was a farmer and had also sold real estate in the area.
He was a member of St. John’s United church of Christ, Moose Lodge and Greeley Senor Citizens.
Survivors are his wife, Mary of Greeley; a son, Arthur W of Aurora; four sisters, Mrs. Esther Foos and Mrs. Amelia Stencel, both of Camas, Wash., Mrs. Irene Miller of Greeley and Mrs. Lydia Pappenheim of Ault; three brothers, John Jr of Greeley, Joe of Eaton and Ben of Loveland; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. A daughter, Shirley Truesdell, and two brothers, Fred and Ruben, are deceased.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John’s United Church of Christ. Interment will be in Linn Grove Cemetery.
Friends may visit until 6 p.m. Friday and from 11 am. Until 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Macy Chapel.
Contributions may be made to Hospice Inc. of Weld County of St. John’s United Church of Christ for the bell tower fund in care of Macy Chapel.
