Henry and Lydia Pappenheim
Henry Pappenheim, 80, and Lydia Pappenheim, 77, both of Ault, died Friday, March 14, in an automobile accident east of Kersey.
Mr. Pappenheim was born Oct. 11, 1916, in Timnath, to Conrad and Kathryn Elizabeth (Hess) Pappenheim.
Mrs. Pappenheim was born July 16, 1919, in Loveland, to John Sr. and Marie (Schwab) Stencel.
Mr. Pappenheim attended Eaton schools. Mrs. Pappenheim attended Pierce schools.
They were married June 12, 1938, in Eaton.
He farmed and fed cattle in the Eaton area until retiring in 1981. She was a homemaker. They moved to Ault from Eaton in 1981.
Mr. Pappenheim was president of Duck Creek Grazing Association for 25 years, and served on the Eaton School Board.
They were members of the Faith Lutheran Church until retirement and moving to Ault, where they became members of the First Lutheran Church of Ault.
Survivors are two sons, Richard of Yuma and Ronald of Eaton; Mr. Pappenheim’s two sisters, Kay Zickler and Frieda Schoof, both of Fort Collins; Mrs. Pappenheim’s two brothers, Ben Stencel of Loveland and Joe Stencel of Eaton; Mrs. Pappenheim’s sister, Esther Foos of Camas, Wash.; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Pappenheim’s four brothers and one sister, and Mr. Pappenheim’s two brothers are deceased.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Lutheran Church of Ault. Interment at Eaton Cemetery.
Memorial gifts may be made to the First Lutheran Church of Ault in care of the Eaton Chapel.
