Mrs. Hill was a Cherokee County native and had lived here all of his life. He was a textile worker and was a charter member of Southside Baptist Church. He was the son of the late T. W. and Zora Brown Hill.
Surviving are: his wife, Mrs. Louise Ware Hill; one son, John Wesley Hill of Gaffney; three brothers, the Rev. Jesse M. of Greenville, Jay of Greer, and John Q. Hill of Spartanburg; two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Wells of Gaffney and Dr. Janet Balster of Washington.

T. Jewel Hill
GAFFNEY—Funeral services for T. Jewel Hill, 51, of 201 O'neal Street will be conducted today at 3:30 p.m. at the Southside Baptist Church by the Revs. G. W. Allen and Boyce Dickson. Burial will be in Frederick Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers are: Johnny Patterson, Earl Parker, Carlisle Guest, W. C. Wyatt, Chunk Sarratt, Roy Morris, Glenn Oliver, and J. R. Grigsby.
The body will be taken to the church today at 2:30 p.m.
Mr. Hill died Saturday at about 5:30 p.m. at Cherokee County Memorial Hospital.
