William Jay Hill TAYLORS William Jay Hill, 84, of 101 Oakwood Ave., died March 19, 1997, at home. A native of Gaffney, he was the son of the late Thomas William and Zora Brown Hill. He was a retired employee of General Electric Gas Turbine Plant and a member of Abner Creek Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Wilbanks Hill; two daughters, Muriel Rowley of Easley and Dianne Shirley of Taylors; one son, Tom Hill of Sebring, Fla.; four grandchildren; and one greatgrandson. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 tonight at The Wood Mortuary. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the mortuary, conducted by the Revs. Donel Kelley and Vernon Thornhill.
