Son of Moses R. Swaim and Rebecca Denny, Michael Wilford Swaim married Harriet E. East on 22 Feb 1881 in Denton County, TX. Because the marriage record lists his wife-to–be as H. E. East, given name Harriet was assumed from an 1880 Denton County, TX, household entry of Monroe East. A daughter, Harriet E. East age 20, was present in the household. It is respectfully suggested that Harriet became the wife of Michael Wilford Swaim. Four known children were born to this couple: Florence, Ed, Lyda, and James Ollie.
Records appear to indicate that Mr. Swaim married Virginia circa 1909 and Laura "Laurie" Ellen Wimber, the widow King, circa 1935.

Michael Swaim's TX Death Certificate 46661 lists father as "Word/Ward Swaim" foreign born, mother as "Caroline Armstrong" born MO, and burial in Post Oak Cemetery. Informant was E. F. Swaim.

"Searchers of our Past (#47220553)" reported July 2014 that Cemetery office confirmed that this burial is unmarked.
