After review of available information, it is respectfully suggested that Mrs. Burchel/Burchell was the daughter of Moses R. Swaim and his second wife, Mary Jane Barnes. Mary Jane Swaim was the second wife of Larkin Burchell/Burchel. They were married 02 Sep 1881 in Denton County, TX. Information, courtesy of Dorman Holub of TX, indicates that Mr. Burchel's first wife was Lucy Montgomery. Further research is required.

Mrs. Mary Jane Burchell, age 85 years, died at the home of her son, Clarence Burchell, in Mineral Wells, Tuesday night, February 21st. Funeral services were conducted at Post Oak, Wednesday, by Rev. W. W. Chancellor.
Mrs. Burchell had lived in Texas for more than fifty years, residing near Post Oak most of that time. She had enjoyed splendid health despite her advanced age, and her death came as a shock to her family and friends. She is survived by two sons: Clarence Burchell, Mineral Wells; Lee Burchell, Bryson, a stepdaughter, Mrs. A. L. Campsey, Post Oak, and a stepson Jess Burchell of Walters, Okla.
