In 1884, Albert is working for Pret Haywood in the woods near Iola, Wisconsin. He married Mary Lane, the daughter of John and Loretta Verran at Weyauwega, Waupaca County, Wisconsin on October 1, 1884 (Note-Albert's parents are named as Francis L. Brush and Mary Brush on the marriage record). In the 1885 Wisconsin State Census, there are two males and three females in his household. In the 1895 Wisconsin State Census, Albert is living alone in Antigo, Langlade, Wisconsin. While crossing the area between Summit Lake and Elcho on December 12,1901, an incident happened which caused him to freeze to death.
