Robert was born at Black Wolf near Oshkosh, Wisconsin. He married a widow named Elizabeth Morrison at Rhinelander, Wisconsin on December 20, 1897 (Note-On the marriage record, Robert lists his parents as Frank Brush and Mary Humes, both from Ireland). She had four children from her previous marriage-Margaret, Ruby, Seth, and Hector A. Robert and Elizabeth had two children of their own-Frank Robert and John. He began work as a laborer and later became a farmer. It appears they always lived in the town of Rhinelander itself. From information in the 1914-1915 city directory and the 1920 U.S. Population Census record, it appears Robert passed away between that time and is probably buried in the Rhinelander Cemetery. His death certificate will have to be checked.
