COOKEVILLE -- Funeral services for Lural Dunn, 94, will be held Thursday, Jan. 20, 2011, from the chapel of Cookeville Funeral Home with interment in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
Family will receive friends Wednesday, Jan. 19, from 5:00-8:30 p.m. and Thursday, Jan. 20, from 9 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
Mrs. Dunn passed away Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2011, at NHC Healthcare Center.
She was born May 29, 1916, in Jackson County to the late Howard Farley and Lillie Chaffin Mayberry.
Mrs. Dunn worked for more than 35 years at the Cookeville Shirt Factory and was a long-time member of the Willow Ave. Church of Christ.
Her family includes her sisters, Jean Roberts of Cookeville; a brother, Clifton Mayberry of Cookeville; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oran Dunn; four sisters, Elise Mayberry, Beulah Bowman, Velva Holland and Eloris Hensley; and five brothers, Tommy, Edward, Horace, Earl and Sheldon Mayberry.
The family would like to give special thanks to the NHC Healthcare Center of Cookeville and Caris Healthcare for the great care given to Lural by the wonderful nurses.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Bros. Johnny Fox and Jeremiah Tatum will officiate the services.
