Mr. Mayberry passed away Monday, November 10, 2014 at the Cookeville Regional Medical Center after a 2 year battle with Lung Cancer.
He was born October 18, 1938 in Jackson County to the late Howard Farley and Lillie Chaffin Mayberry.
Mr. Mayberry retired in 2001 after a very successful career with the Home Beneficial Life Insurance and later American General Career Distribution Center. During his career he held various positions within the company and received several awards and honors including multiple Top Ten and Presidents Club as well as Leaders Club several years in row.
Mr. Mayberry was an active member of the Willow Ave. Church of Christ and for over 9 years he enjoyed delivering meals to the community through the Willow Meals Ministry.
He was a skilled mechanic and enjoyed working in his work shop repairing lawn mowers and small equipment and he especially enjoyed playing golf with his closest friends.
His family includes his loving wife of 57 years Lola Faye, one son and his wife, one granddaughter, one sister and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four sisters Elise Mayberry, Beulah Bowman, Velva Holland, and Eloris Hensley and five brothers Tommy, Edward, Horace, Earl, and Sheldon Mayberry.
