Funeral services for Mr. Sheldon Lee Mayberry, 67, of Baxter, were conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, July 6, 2009, from the chapel at Crest Lawn Funeral Home in Cookeville with Bro. John Pippin officiating.
Burial was in Crest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
Mr. Mayberry died Saturday, July 4, at NHC Healthcare in Cookeville. He was retired from Fleetguard, Inc. and was a member of Baxter Church of Christ.
Born August 11, 1941, in Gainesboro, TN, he was the son of the late Howard Farley and Lillie Ann (Chaffin) Mayberry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Elise Mayberry, Beulah Bowman, and Velva Holland; and 4 brothers, Tommy Mayberry, Edward Mayberry, Horace Mayberry, and Earl Mayberry.
Survivors include his wife, Kalma Louise (Dyer) Mayberry of Baxter; a daughter and son-in-law, Betty A. and Harold Chambers of Cookeville; 3 sons and 2 daughters-in-law, Ronald L. and Connie Mayberry of Smyrna, Donald R. and Cindy Mayberry of Livingston, and Terry L. Mayberry and his friend, Strawberry, of Cookeville; 3 sisters, Lural Dunn and Jean Roberts, both of Cookeville, and Eloris Hensley of Columbia; a brother, Clifton Mayberry of Cookeville; a granddaughter, Whitney Rhea Mayberry of Livingston; 2 grandsons, Adam B. Mayberry of Nashville, and Morgan Mayberry of Livingston; a step-grandson, Lance B. Henley of Smyrna.
