Mary Jeanette "Sis" Mincy was born July 25, 1925 in Lafollette, Tenn. to the late Harry and Dora Barley Revis. She was a member of First Christian Church of Crossville, Tenn. and attended Salem Baptist Church in Dayton. Mrs. Mincy was a loving wife and mother and was devoted to her family. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting and baking. She won many prizes over the years at the county fair. Mrs. Mincy was a master gardener whose specialty was African violets. She enjoyed traveling and visited every state in the union as well as several countries while on cruises.Mrs. Mincy was preceded in death by her daughters, Sherry Mincy and Janice Hughes; and brothers, Luther "Hunk" Revis, Robert "RC" Revis, Harley "Hop" Revis, and Doyle Revis.Survivors include her husband of 63 years, Arthur "Red" Mincy; son, Phillip (Kathy) Mincy of Soddy Daisy, Tenn.; daughters, Phyllis (Chuck) Dixon of Homosassa, Fla. and Cheryl (Jason) Fitzgerald of Dayton; son-in-law, Ronald Hughes of Soddy Daisy, Tenn.; sister, Ruby (Tom) Wilkey of Dayton; brothers, Mack Revis and Harry "Hack" Revis Jr., both of Dayton; grandchildren, Christina Mincy, Brandon (Amie) Hughes, Katherine Mincy, Lori Hughes, Rebecca (Hayden) House, Casey Hughes, Jacqueline Dixon, Alex Hughey, Caroline Dixon, Jackson Fitzgerald and Lainey Fitzgerald; and many nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be held Saturday, January 25, at 12 p.m. noon in the chapel of Vanderwall Funeral Home with Rev. Clyde Fitzgerald and Rev. Barry Walls officiating.
