CWO US ARMY WORLD WAR II

CWO 4, Raymond J. Vrba, U.S. Army Retired, age 83, of San Antonio, formerly of Tours, died December 25, 2001 in San Antonio. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated 2 p.m. Saturday, December 29, 2001 in St. Martin's Catholic Church in Tours, with Rev. Isidore Rozycki, as celebrant. Burial followed in St. Martin's Cemetery in Tours.

Mr. Vrba was a life member of VFW Post 8541 and an avid fisherman and a member of a local bass club in San Antonio. Mr. Vrba gave 30 years of distinguished service in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his daughter, Donna Nelson and husband, David, of Seabrook, Tx.; sons, James Vrba and wife Lori, of Sugarland and David Vrba of Georgia; four grandchildren, Raymond Vrba III of North Carolina, Aaron, Olivia and Grayson Vrba, all of Surgarland, Texas; and by his sisters, Rita Snokhous of Leroy and Helen Newman of Waco.

Active Pallbearers were David Snokhous, Douglas Snokhous, Raymond Vrba III, Ronnie Vrba, Terry Vrba and Gary Vrba.

Kotch Funeral Home of West was in charge of arrangements.
