Myrtle Jane O'Neal, 85, a resident of Albuquerque since 1941, died Wednesday at a local nursing home. She was born on January 12, 1896 in Green Forest, Arkansas to William Lee and Nora Adeline (Tharp) Brawley. She is survived by her sons, Carl C. O'Neal of Bellevue, Nebraska and James C. O'Neal of Albuquerque; her daughter, Elnora Rannigan of Albuquerque; her brother, Hugh Paul Brawley of Sanger, California; her half brothers, Wilbur Raney Brawley of West Covina, California, Charles Brawley of Hanford, California, John Harris Brawley of Madera, California, and Warren Brawley of Lake Charles, Louisiana; her half sister, Juanita Rainey of Sacramento, California; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at French Mortuary with Rev. Bryan Peterson and Rev. Clarence Stanfield officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park.
