-- The funeral for Mrs. Eula Horne Banks was conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 22, at Dantzler-Baker Funeral Home. The Rev. Curtis Cameron officiated and burial followed in Greenlawn Cemetery.

Mrs. Banks, 91, died Friday, March 20, 2009, at Chester Regional Nursing Center.

Born in Lancaster County on July 7, 1917, she was a daughter of the late Robert Fulton and Bessie Lee Sims Horne. Mrs. Banks was a homemaker and the mother of nine children. She enjoyed yard sales, fishing and gardening.

Survivors include four daughters, Betty Lou Raffaldt and Bonnie Leonhardt, both of Great Falls, Mary Lois Threatt of Pageland and Peggy Daughtry of Richburg; four sons, Charles "Bud" Plyler of Pageland and James Harrison Banks, John F. Plyler and Joe Lee Plyler, all of Great Falls; 23 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Bill "Dick" Plyler.
