Funeral services for Virdo Francis Deason, who died of a heart attack Monday at the U.S. Veterans Hospital, will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday from the Northport Baptist Church.
Mr. Deason was a member of the Northport Baptist Church, the Zamora Shrine Chapter of Birmingham, the Elyton Masonic Lodge, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, and American Legion Post of Tuscaloosa.
Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth E. Deason, Northport; six brothers, Grover C. Deason, Portsmouth, Virginia; Virgil A. Deason, Logan, West Virginia; Carl T. Deason, Akron, Ohio; Arnold O. Deason, Northport; Waldo H. Deason, Tuscaloosa; and William B. Deason, Birmingham; and a sister, Mrs. Lenora Brewster, Birmingham.
Active pallbearers will be P. T. Smith, F. W. Griffin, W. T. Stephens, W. R. Baird, E. A. Snyder and J. E. Rose.
