Rockport, IN, Mary Bell Alvey, 73, of Rockport, IN died Sunday, April 12, 1991 at her home. She was born in Evansville and was a member of Bethel Christian Center Church in Reo and the American Legion Post No, 254 auxillary. Survivors include her husband Bernard "Gunny" Alvey, five sons, Charles B Alvey of East Chicago, IN, Leonard L Alvey of Grandview, IN and Joseph C Alvey, Carl L Alvey and Wyman E Alvey, all of Rockport; three daughters, Frances L Canada, Ida M Smith and Elizabeth M Freeman, all of Rockport; 25 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Martha Harmon, Frances Lanham and Charlene Cochran, all of Rockport. Services are at 2pm Tuesday at Boultinghouse Funeral home, Rockport. Burial in Sunset Hill Cemetery, Rockport. Visitation after 1pm today at the funeral home.
